FAQ's
Our round entry is easy to use and will take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes to enter a complete round. Unlike other programs or apps, we account for EVERY SHOT you hit.
The simple way to remember how to enter data is to record WHERE each shot is HIT FROM, and the RESULT of that shot. If the result is a miss of any sort, or a penalty, then you will have a selection box appear asking you for more information.
The NEXT SHOT button will appear ONLY when all information is entered correctly.
Once the round entry is completed, you will be able to review your results prior to uploading the round to our database.
Our round entry is designed to record every shot you hit in a round of golf by selecting where you hit each shot from (Hit From) and the result (Result) of that shot. The system also predicts where each shot is hit from based on the result of the previous shot. You will still need to make sure that you check the position to make sure it correct, especially when you miss the fairway or green.
THE BASICS
- For the first shot of every hole, the HIT FROM position is always the TEE.
- If you select HIT FAIRWAY for any shot, then the HIT FROM position of your next shot is FAIRWAY. This is done automatically.
- If you select MISS FAIRWAY for any shot, then the HIT FROM position of your next shot automatically defaults to ROUGH. You have the option to change this position to FAIRWAY BUNKER.
SHOTS TO GREEN
- Select HIT GREEN or MISS GREEN only when attempting to hit the green. If you have to lay-up at any time, select HIT FAIRWAY or MISS FAIRWAY for that shot.
AROUND THE GREEN – TRACKING YOUR SHORT GAME
- Any GREENSIDE position and FRINGE will register that shot as hit from Around the Green and will go towards your short game statistics.
- Greenside positions will be available to select once MISS GREEN has been selected as the result of a shot.
- If you are on the FAIRWAY but you are at a distance that you would like to record for your short game (for example, you couldn’t reach a par 5 in two shots but hit the fairway within 20 metres of the green), then you can change the hit from position to GREENSIDE FAIRWAY.
To enable or disable the CLUB and/or DISTANCE options, go to SETTINGS.

If you make a mistake during a hole, you can simply hit PREVIOUS SHOT until you get back to where you need to be. All data from that shot onwards will be deleted and refreshed.
Once you have clicked NEXT HOLE, you cannot go back and fix a hole until the end. Keep a note of the hole you made the error on. At the end of entering a round, you will be asked to review your results. Select EDIT A HOLE. You will be able to select the hole number that you made the error on and re-enter all the shots for that hole. Make sure you do this BEFORE you upload your round results as you cannot go back and change this later.
DISTANCE = the distance between the ball and the hole BEFORE you hit the shot.
For complete accuracy of statistics, ensure you record a distance for:
ALL shots to Green
ALL shots Around the Green (bunkers, rough, fringe)
ALL Putts
Missing a distance of any of these shots will result in INACCURATE statistics.
If you wish, you can record distances for PUTTS ONLY. This will allow you to track your putting performance and short game accuracy. To ensure accuracy of statistics, make sure you enter a distance for ALL putts.

Select FEET as your unit of measurements for PUTTING DISTANCES UNITS. By recording smaller units of measurements, we are able to analyse your putting distance statistics more precisely. You can change this setting at any time under MY SETTINGS.
What if I prefer to record in Metres on the green?
Even if you have FEET selected as your units of measurement, you can still enter distances in METRES. To do this, when entering shots hit from the green you can click ENTER IN METRES and input your distance using this. Simply enter the distance in metres, with decimal points if you wish, and click OK. This will automatically convert the distance to FEET for you.
When on the green, you can measure the length of your putt by pacing it out. As a rough guide, stepping out 1 pace like you would to measure 1 metre is approximately 3 FEET. If you prefer measuring in metres, you will be able to click ENTER IN METRES and use this to convert the distance to FEET for more precise statistics.
